Generally he comes off as someone quiet and reserved, but that may be due to his practice of watching people and taking their measure. When he is interacting with his troops he is a man of action and full of energy. He is a man of many dimensions or layers as one person succinctly put it. If you didn't know who Kenta truly was he'll surprise you.

There is one deep sadness he has and that is he and his father are not on speaking terms; due to Kenta choosing to be a marine instead of helping to run the family business.

When Kenta was just a little boy about a year and a half old, his father began teaching him martial arts. And that was the way of his life. He learned several different styles of martial arts,karate, Judo, Kendo, weaponry (which includes Archery), Ninjutsu, Tae Kwon do,and Wu Shu,Loa as well as gymnastics. His Father ran a martial arts school as well as an acting school.

However when Kenta was 18, he went against his father's wishes, he turned in his application for Star Fleet Marine Corp and was accepted. Kenta felt that his calling was to be a Marine, and he had been taught while growing up, to follow the path he felt drawn to. A Hawaiian philosophy he had picked up from his mother's father.

Kenta has been a dedicated Marine, working on his scholastics. He makes certain to coorespond with his mother as regular as possible, keeping track of how things are at home.He also considers his fellow Marines as his Ohana, his family. He will not hesitate to put his life in danger to save those around him. Kenta had a girl-friend a while back ago but it didn't last, as she wanted someone she didn't want to worry about not coming back from missions. Kenta understood, was disappointed, but understood and accepted it. This actually irritated his former girlfriend so much that she slapped him to see if she could get a reaction out of him. Kenta didn't get angry, but when she tried to slap him again, he just caught her hand and then kissed it, saying,

"It is your choice and I give you, your freedom."

Went into the SFMC Age 18 and has been there since. Based at StarBase Haven, was among those picked up by the Texas after an accident caused by an ion storm which hit the Hesperus while she was out on training.The Hesperus was found upside down, on an asteroid due to an ion storm.
